Premarket Day Trading Routine

Scenario: It's 6 AM. Markets open in 3.5 hours. You want to find and prepare day trade setups before the bell.

Time: 60-90 minutes Platform: ✅ Both (iOS for quick checks, Web for deep prep) Best for: 🚀 Experienced day traders Prerequisites: Blitz companion selected, brokerage connected


The Goal

By 9:30 AM market open, you'll have:

  • ✅ 5-10 stocks on your watchlist

  • ✅ Key support/resistance levels noted

  • ✅ 2-3 high-conviction trade setups

  • ✅ Entry, exit, and stop-loss plans


6:00 AM - Check Overnight News

Step 1: Read Today's Recap

📱 iOS:

  1. Open Ape AI

  2. Go to Discover tab (bottom middle)

  3. Scroll to "Today's Recap"

  4. Tap to read full summary

🌐 Web:

  1. Go to app.Ape AI.com

  2. Click Home in sidebar

  3. Find "Today's Recap" section

  4. Click to expand

Look for:

  • Major catalysts (earnings, Fed news, geopolitical events)

  • Key levels to watch (SPY support/resistance)

  • Sector performance (what's hot, what's not)

  • Pre-market movers (stocks gapping up or down)


Step 2: Check Major News Headlines

Scroll through the Latest News section.

News Feed

Scan for:

  • Earnings announcements

  • Analyst upgrades/downgrades

  • Company-specific news

  • Macro events (Fed, inflation data, etc.)

Quick tip: Look for news with tickers you recognize or that have high engagement.


6:15 AM - Build Your Watchlist

Step 3: Check Most Active (Premarket Volume)

📱 iOS:

  1. Stay on Discover tab

  2. Scroll to Trending Stocks

  3. Filter: "Most Active"

  4. View stocks with high premarket volume

🌐 Web:

  1. On Home page

  2. Scroll to Trending Stocks

  3. Select "Most Active" from dropdown

  4. See the list

Add 3-5 high-volume stocks to your watchlist:

  • Tap/click the star icon on each stock card

  • These will appear in your watchlist

Look for:

  • Volume > 5M (preferably 10M+)

  • Price $10-$200 (easier to trade)

  • Good range/volatility


Step 4: Check Top Gainers & Losers

Switch the filter to see:

Top Gainers (gapping up):

  • Potential long setups

  • Buy dips or breakouts

  • Add 2-3 to watchlist

Top Losers (gapping down):

  • Potential short setups (if your broker allows)

  • Bounce plays

  • Add 1-2 to watchlist

Your watchlist now has 5-10 stocks.


6:30 AM - Research Top Picks

Step 5: Analyze Each Watchlist Stock

For each stock on your watchlist:

  1. Tap the star icon (top right) to see watchlist

  2. Tap each stock to view ticker page

🌐 Web:

  1. Click watchlist/favorites

  2. Open each in new tabs

Quick check (2 minutes per stock):

  1. Check Technical Grade (looking for B+ or higher)

    • Tap/click to expand

    • Read key patterns and momentum indicators

  2. Check Today's Recap mention

    • Is it mentioned in the daily summary?

    • What's the catalyst?

  3. Note key levels

    • Support (where it bounced recently)

    • Resistance (where it got rejected)

    • Pre-market high/low


Step 6: Get AI Support & Resistance Levels

For your top 3-5 picks, let's get AI analysis:

  1. Go to Chat tab

  2. Use Quick Action: "Major Support and Resistance"

  3. Enter ticker when prompted

🌐 Web:

  1. Click Chat in sidebar

  2. Press Ctrl+P for prompts

  3. Select "Major Support and Resistance"

  4. Type ticker

The AI tells you:

  • Key support levels (where to buy/set stop loss)

  • Key resistance levels (where to take profit)

  • Recent price action context

  • Volume zones

Write these down (or screenshot) for quick reference during trading.


9:00 AM - Final Prep (30 min before open)

Step 7: Get Options Trade Setups

If you trade options, let's get AI suggestions:

📱 iOS:

  1. Chat tab

  2. Quick Action: "Day Trade Options Setup"

🌐 Web:

  1. Chat sidebar

  2. Prompt: "Day Trade Options Setup"

The AI suggests:

  • Tickers with good options setups

  • Calls or puts (directional bias)

  • Strike prices

  • Expiration dates

  • Entry/exit strategy

  • Reasoning (why this setup)

Review each setup:

  1. Click the ticker to view full analysis

  2. Check the Technical grade

  3. Verify volume (options and stock)

  4. Note your entry price


Step 8: Plan Your Trades

By now you should have 1-3 high-conviction setups.

For each setup, write down:

Step 9: Set Price Alerts (if available)

For your watchlist stocks:

  • Set alerts for entry prices

  • Set alerts for stop losses

  • Set alerts for targets

9:30 AM - Market Open

Step 10: Execute Your Plan

The first 15 minutes (9:30-9:45):

  • ⚠️ Watch, don't trade yet - Let the market settle

  • See if stocks respect the levels you noted

  • Watch for volume confirmation

9:45-10:00 AM:

  • Start executing setups that confirm

  • Enter at your planned entry prices

  • Set stop losses immediately

During the day:

  • Monitor in Portfolio tab

  • Use Ask Maverick if you have questions:

    • "Should I take profits on $TSLA?"

    • "Is $NVDA breaking out?"

  • Stick to your plan!

6:00 AM

  • Read Today's Recap: Fed comments hawkish, tech under pressure

  • News: NVDA earnings tonight, AI sector watch

6:15 AM

  • Most Active: NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, AMD, SPY

  • Top Gainers: RIVN (+8% PM on delivery beat)

  • Watchlist: NVDA, TSLA, RIVN, AMD, SPY

6:30 AM

  • NVDA: Technical A+, Sentiment A-, catalyst = earnings tonight

  • AI says: Support at $850, Resistance at $880

  • RIVN: Technical B+, huge gap up, might fade

9:00 AM

  • Options Setup: NVDA calls, strike $860, exp this week

  • Plan: Enter at $865, target $878, stop $858

9:30 AM

  • Watch NVDA open, confirm direction

  • 9:47 AM: Enter NVDA calls at $866

  • Set stop at $858, target $878

Outcome:

  • 10:23 AM: Target hit at $878

  • Exit trade, +$XXX profit

  • Move to next setup

  1. Don't trade everything - Focus on 1-2 best setups

  2. Respect the plan - Don't chase or FOMO

  3. First 15 min are wild - Let market settle
